Satyajit Ray (সত্যজীত রায়) was an Indian screenwriter, music composer, filmmaker, lyricist, graphic artist and author, widely regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers of the 20th century. He was Born in May 2, 1921, at Calcutta (Kolkata), India into a Bengali Kayastha family which was prominent in the field of arts and literature.
